The more I have learnt about programming, the more I realized that it is not just about the code, it is engineering. It has changed my way of thinking even in my private life in the way I look at problems and analyse solutions. It is about communication, understanding the business, and the creativity. Now, I am totally convinced that a good professional code starts with understanding the business and the customer's needs. I used to jump immediately to coding and after hours of writing a masterpiece of code blocks, I realize I have shifted myself away from the task. I don't do that anymore :), well, sometimes yes!
Privately:
I enjoy a free run in nature without music. It helps me clear my mind and gives me a break from all the technologies we are surrounded by. I still love technologies and use them on a daily basis but I still want to enjoy my social life, meet the people I love, and enjoy the company of my family and friends.
I discovered lately a passion for photography so I bought myself a camera and started going to beautiful places whenever I can to take some nice photos of the best engineer in the entire world, nature. I started appreciating the small tiny beautiful thing that I didn't even notice before.
I love reading books about Astrophysics, Philosophy, Technology, and History. It make me travel through different times, meet different characters, and live the life of others by sitting on my couch, holding a 300-gram book, and flying in between lines.
I would've never made it without some great people who influenced my life in a positive way. My mom is my hero she taught me to be tough and never to give up my dream. "Samy, you can always ask for help, but you have to learn to achieve things on your own if the help does not come", she said. I used to fight with my sister all the time (And I still do, lol) but I love her from the bottom of my heart. She is my dearest pal, my great supporter, and my secret holder. I want to thank people who indirectly influenced my life, some great influencers, my colleagues, and my friends.
My dream:
I dream of traveling the world and becoming a worldwide speaker, talking about technology, sharing my passion, and creating new inventions that make the world a better place. I love to participate in academic research and new innovations.
I also love to work with students and recharge my energy from theirs. I know how hard it is for students and fresh-graduated to find their path in this significantly fast-developed field and
that is why I try to build a small bridge to help them orient themselves and write their own journey.
I have started making my own journey, did you start making yours?
